Hello!
I’m 40. I’ve just completed my second egg collection and have had my results which have really shocked me and I thought I’d let you know what changes I did which appear to have helped my results.
My first round was in July. I have one ovary. My clinic collected 14 eggs, 11 were mature, 8 fertilised and 2 x 6 day blastocysts, measured 5bb and 5bc (not good, not bad).
My second round was just less than a week ago. Both times I did the treatment in Northern Cyprus, this time a friend went with me, and I felt a bit more comfortable about it as it wasn’t new to me and I enjoyed some lovely company.
The changes I made were the following -
Weekly acupuncture
I’d had a number of massages on the run up
Some time with friends (I haven’t spent time with friends for ages previously as I felt so low about everything)
10 supplements (I’ll list them if any one is interested)
My husband had 4 supplements
Removed plastic from my life, except the few days before when I drank water from plastic bottles as I couldn’t find glass in cyprus.
Stopped drinking Diet Coke.

Last Wednesday I had 9 eggs collected, of which 5 were mature. All 5 fertilised and all 5 reached blastocysts. 3 are very good quality.

I’m flabbergasted. Hopeful one will stick when we are ready for transfer. Hope this helps someone else, I’m sorry we’re facing infertility x

Very interesting to know! We're going next year, although we're having donor eggs so no excuse for lovely massages etc... All the best when you go for transfer.

Hi FetchezLaVache, definately do the acupuncture if you can, friends of mine have used donor eggs and insisted that acupuncture helped :) best of luck x
