Hi ladies. I don’t know if you can help me but I’m looking for some advice. We recently had a successful ICSI round and have some embryos in storage.
I’m not sure about everyone else but when we consented we were advised not to transport our embryos anywhere as this wasn’t recommended.
Now our clinic (at an NHS hospital) is closing and they are telling us that they are going to transport an embryos to an agreed new provider when they find one next year.
Are they allowed to do this? I’m now feeling under pressure to plan a FET before I was ready too as I’m worried about damaging the embryos during transportation? Or am I overreacting and do I have nothing to worry about? TIA x

Transporting embryos is really pretty straightforward (for clinics and companies with the appropriate equipment, anyway!), so it's not something I'd be overly worried about. If you have specific concerns then by all means discuss them with your clinic/the new provider for some extra reassurance, though!

Embryos get transferred all the time so I wouldn't worry about it
