Metformin...

So my clinic has prescribed this prior to our first IVF cycle. I have had 4 miscarriages and have polycystic ovaries but not the syndrome.

Has anyone got any tips or advice - I’ve heard it’s going to make me feel quite ill!

Anyone else had success with IVF and metformin after multiple miscarriages?

I started metformin in September and it is awful. Sorry. It did help me lose the required stone to be allowed to start though, because I felt so sick I couldn't eat. I then had to up my dose, and started throwing up if I tried to eat!!

I am on it for different reasons, but, my sister had five miscarriages in a row, then started metformin and her next BFP is now a gorgeous 3 month old. She didn't do IVF though, the metformin alone seemed to resolve things - no idea what how or why though.
