I thought I would start a new thread as I am hoping for AF to come next week to start 3 round after 2 previous cycles have failed.

Morning.
First round for us this month. I'm doing a short protocol ICSI.
My period is due on the 22nd and then we start the drugs on day 3.
Had a scratch at the beginning of the week and now just have to wait for period to show.
So nerve wracking but trying to be relaxed (inbetween obsessive googling ofcourse)

Before you ladies started ivf did you have to attend a infomation meeting before your first meeting with your conslutant x

@Hoping1 I didn't.
We had our fertility tests and they suggested ICSI due to husbands sperm count. We then had an appointment with our consultant and after signing up with acsess fertility to fund it we booked our first round and have had a couple of appointments in the lead up. We are with Herts and Essex.
Thanks @41trying I think it's the build up and anticipation more than anything. We aren't expecting anything from the first round and thinking of it as a trial run to see how I respond to the drugs etc, so as not to build any hopes up.
I think it's the sedation that I'm most concerned about which is weird as I've been put under plenty for other things. How are you feeling? Did you have all fresh transfers previously?

@hoping, I didnt, I booked to see them and started straight away.

@Hopefully84. When I was put to sleep woke up didnt feel a thing, just like a short nap lol, little tummy pain for an hour, but paracetamol solved that which they gave me before I left.
I didnt ever get to the transfer stage as egg was immature. This is why I am trying a new clinic this time to see if they will collect more eggs
