IVF - Slow growing embryos

I’ve been told that less than 20% of my embryos are blastocysts at day 5. It is early on day 5, as my EC was later in the day.

Has anyone had any experience of slow growing embryos, did they catch up and what was the outcome?

Best of luck for tomorrow (and with things in general!) OP Flowers

Embryology is an inexact science

@eurochick I completely agree, I did a lot of IVF research and one point that came through is that whilst your chances can be improved, nothing is definite! I read this Marisa Peer book and felt that it really helped me, it focuses on positive thinking and doing the best you think you can do to help yourself. Both my DTs are boys though, these little slow growers bucked the trend!

@Youngatheart00 did you get your call. I just got mine now and they said the embryos didn’t move on overnight :(

@sunshine015 oh I’m so sorry to hear that. But at least you now know, rather than being left hanging, and can concentrate on the little blips inside of you.

I’m still in limbo - worse still the clinic said if they don’t develop they won’t even call! So no news is BAD news and a call means there’s something to freeze. Not holding out too much hope.

No call. Looks like I’m out of the game for Frosties too 😞

Has anyone got any positive outcomes of a day 6 transfer of an early blastocyst. Both of my embryos were doing well on day 3 but by day 5 were only early blasts and over night only made slow progress. They've both been transferred today ungraded, I'm 40 and this is prob my only shot, keeping my fingers crossed.
