IVF waiting times South Wales

[Journey2019]

My next fertility appointment is in November. I have undergone all the required tests and have taken 6 months of Clomid.
At the next appointment, I have been told I will be referred for IVF.
Has anyone in the South Wales area been recently referred for IVF and how long was the wait and what was the process?
Do you get a choice of clinics or is it the one that's closest to your area?

Hi there, I'm also in south Wales just started ivf been on waiting list since June. They told us 6 months max. Hope this helps x

Did you have to have more tests once you were referred? Do they offer different hospitals? Is it 6 months to actually start the treatment or be seen?

It was the heath for me, and yes had to have more bloods and scans then treatment started about 6 weeks or so later. They are really nice there. I didn't read into it too much just take it as it comes. Good luck with it all and fingers crossed for you x

Hi I had my gynecologist appointment in July referring me for IVF appointment. I was expecting to wait up to 6 months but got a call early September asking if i was happy going to Port Talbot IVF clinic as they had a shorter list. So i went to Port Talbot for my appointment. Unfortunately my egg quality is to low to qualify for IVF. Good luck and im sure you wont be waiting too long for your appointment.
