Amh results?

Been told my amh is 15.00
I am 28 years old and the nurse has said it is just below normal. Feeling a bit upset about it.
Is 15 low for my age?

It is fine. Mine was 0.17 when I was 35. I think yours is middle line. Are you looking for fertility treatment or?

I was also told my amh was slightly low for my age, although I was 35 and it was 9.2. I walked out of the appointment feeling so disheartened. We were still given good chances with ivf so we went ahead and ended up with 20 eggs and 4 made it to blast. I had the first transfer earlier this month if one blast and got my bfp last week. Ivf is a lottery but ours ended up positive and hopefully yours will too. Good luck.

Yes @Snow1314 we are starting icsi soon due to mfi.
I’ve always thought I had no issues myself and this has come as quite a shock.
I was naively thinking because my fsh was ok that my amh would be within normal ranges.

@Betsyboo87 that’s exactly how I feel, like it’s now another issue to worry about.

Sounds ok to me. Mine was 8 age 30 and I was told that was bottom 5% for my age group. Still got 20+ eggs both cycles of ivf. Now have a DS

Your results are fine and age is so on your side. Young eggs are way more important than your amh level.
Good luck with the next steps. I get it you can’t just stop looking for information when you are going through something so difficult.
Mine was 5.6 at 32 and I have 2 kids now from IVF and 3 frozen embryos still not used.

Thankyou for your replies and reassurance. I know I’m probably being worried for nothing, I just really expected it to be in the normal ranges.
I got pregnant when I was a lot younger by accident to a previous partner. So just always assumed it would be ok, starting to think maybe that was my only chance? ☹️ Sorry I’m all doom & gloom today lol x

Your results aren’t too bad but you’ve genuinely had a bit of a shock. Be kind to yourself and don’t feel bad for being upset x

Your follicle count would be good to compare to the AMH as these two together give a better picture.
You will have good potential during your treatment anyway x

On this Board - 15 is almost the kind of result you celebrate! Go and take a look at some of the chats asking about 0.6 etc. Amh is just a marker and though it’s a bit low for your age you are doing ivf young anyway due to the mfi. Mine was 7.2 and I got 8 eggs, 6 fertilised, 4 blasts. Only one ovary was even working due to previous surgery on the other. You’ll be fine! Good luck x

One AMH result is just a snapshot. Doesn't mean your eggs are rapidly disappearing. I've had my AMH tested a number of times over the last three years and it's the same every time (10). I'm 40. The first time I had it done they told me it was low. Now I'm in my 40s it's actually quite good. The doc said some people just have a lower level and it's nothing to worry about. It's if it starts rapidly dropping that you need to start worrying.

I had a very low AMH reading. I went on to have three children. Don't worry to much yet. It's not necessarily a definitive answer on fertility.
