Hi, long time reader first time poster here.
Just looking for a bit of support and to hear about other people’s journey’s.
Myself and DH have been TTC for 2 and a half years now, although we haven’t really used protection for about 5 years. After 3 years of knowing something was wrong and changing doctors I have been referred to the gynaecologist for further tests. I have currently had day 21 blood test which shows that I am ovulating and day 3 tests which shows I have an excess of testosterone, I have been referred for a HSG test and should get this within the next 3-5 months and DH has to give his SA in to the hospital next week. My GP has said possible PCOS due to the testosterone in my blood and my irregular periods, has anyone had the HSG test and how was it?

Hey! I have PCOS and have been ttc for about 16 months. I've had the hycosy test which I think might be the same thing? It was fine, I was alot more anxious about it than I needed to be. It was like a really painful period pain which lasted about 10seconds when the balloon was filled. Otherwise it was absolutely fine. I'd have no worries if I had to do it again. I know it can be painful for some people but taking some painkillers before hand should help.
I've had 3 day 21 blood tests and all have shown that I don't ovulate but I do have irregular periods so perhaps they just missed it. I'm on my first cycle of clomid as to help me ovulate.

I was checked for insulin resistance which might be worth you asking about. It can be a common issue with pcos. My results were borderline so I've cut down on carbs and cut out sugar and a few weeks later I got my first ever positive ovulation test. It didn't result in a pregnancy but it was good to know that something was happening!

@HeadintheClouds20 thank you for your reply, That’s great news, at least you will be one step closer, yeah I think I might ask them to check for that, I’ve been told to lose 12 pounds before I can receive any treatment which is hopefully very do able (I’ve got 5 months to do it). Just really want to get the ball moving and hopefully get a BFP soon!
