Lord have mercy.

I’m 30 same sex relationship and about that have my first IUI with donor sperm (obviously). Do you think if this one cycle doesn’t work, it would be worth moving straight to IVF?

Thanks

Amh is only one result... have you previously done artificial insemination? We'd need more history to suggest anything... what have the clinic you're doing iui with advises? Is it medicated? What are your other results?

Hello, thank you for responding.

I have not done any previous IUI cycles or any fertility treatment for that matter. I have no known fertility issues. Tubes are open, submucosal fibroid removed in August. Follow up scan showed all clear with no scar tissue. I am currently with Concept in London who have suggested IUI with 50mg of Clomid.

First round of Clomid at 50mg I only produced one egg which I would have produced without it as I do not have issues with ovulation. Cycle was cancelled due to staffing issues at clinic.

All other labs have come back within normal range.

My AMH was the same at the same age and they gave me high dose drugs for ivf (ICSI) and I got 29 follicles and 20+ mature eggs. I asked the consultant why I got so many eggs when they were t expecting it and he said I was young and AMH isn’t always accurate. The best test of ovarian reserve is how you respond to the drugs.
