I received my FET review letter from clinic after bfn.. letter says that frozen 5aa expanded to become 5cd..and clinic decided to go ahead with transfer based on embryologist advise... wondering if 5cd is too bad quality ? I wasnt aware of anything below c for grading ? Has anyone had similar frosty grade transferred ?

Also the letter says that the transfer was tricky in itself which i am not quite clear on and intend to ring up the clinic to understand

When I was reading back through my notes the other day I read that one of mine was transferred at a lower grade than it was when it was frozen

5cd isn't great quality sorry - if it had been a fresh cycle my clinic would have considered that not good enough to freeze - it could suggest that not all the cells were alive and it was degenerating?

That being said embryos can correct themselves and it's possible that it was just taking longer to re expand which is why they decided to transfer it? I'd maybe ask how long before the transfer was it taken out to thaw - If it was only an hour or so then perhaps it just didn't have time to get back up to speed - if it was a few hours then it suggests it didn't fully survive the thaw x
