Anyone pg or conceived with low AMH of 2.4

Good evening Ladies, I've just been told I have low AMH of 2.4 and high FSH of 18, that most likely will be very hard to conceive naturally. I also have a history of endo. I've just turned 42. Can anyone give me a ray of hope please? Apparently IVF wont help me conceive either. I have a 2 year old, which was natural. Thanks

I have a naturally conceived 15 week old with an AMH of 2.2, FSH of 23, one tube and stage 4 end, he was a surprise after a donor egg IVF baby born the year before

@Lauren83 wow that’s amazing! Congrats to you. Sadly, I don’t have much time left to get preg. I’m ruling out IVF, been told it’s for nothing. My only hope is naturally. May I ask how old you are pls? Did you try between days 8 and 16, every alternate day or everyday pls? Did you change diet or similar? Sorry for asking such questions, but any advice helps. Thank you 🙏

Have you ruled out IVF with donor eggs, @aral16? I'm currently 29 weeks pregnant with a donor egg baby - although my AMH was less than 1 and my FSH was 35 so I had zero chance of conceiving either naturally or by producing my own eggs during IVF.

RedPandaFluff · 09/10/2019 23:01

Oh and I'm almost 40 . . . but knew from my early thirties that I didn't have much of an egg reserve.

@RedPandaFluff donor egg was mentioned to me but it’s seems so complicated plus I’d have to travel god knows where. Where was your procedure done? Donor eggs were fresh or frozen? Was told if I go ahead they need to be FRESH!

It's actually less complicated than own-egg IVF - for you, it's pretty much the same as a FET! It's expensive though - we had two cycles in the UK and two in Prague, where it can be much cheaper.

Loads of emotional and practical factors to consider, though - this, for me, is the complicated bit!

@RedPandaFluff ok thanks for your advice and big congrats to you btw :) I have no clue how much a donor egg would cost. Here, normal IVF costs 7k.

Thankyou, to be honest I wasn't really trying as my donor egg baby was only 8 months at the time, I must have just got really really lucky. I also agree with PP about donor eggs, I chose donor eggs myself as my need to be a mum was greater than my need to have a bio child and I knew it was my best chance to have a baby, you could be looking at around a 50% chance of success if you use donor eggs.

Yes amh 1.8 natural modified ivf with create, male factor as well so ivf was only chance.

aral16 · 10/10/2019 09:26

@Lauren83Yes prob really really lucky same as in my case with my first child. I’m sure that it was pure luck and that I defo ovulated then whereas now even though we get a monthly period it doesn’t necessarily mean we will ovulate too. I need to really think fast or what will be, will be (naturally)

My amh was 2.8 - I got pregnant 3 tines, including once via Ivf which worked the first time. I was 35 though so I suppose age is a factor.

I would be doing everything you can to improve egg quality.

aral16 · 10/10/2019 18:15

@Ilikeviognier any tips on how to improve egg quality please? Hmm wow good on you, congrats. Age defo vs me but know so many people tc at the age of 41-43

Ubiquinol is the main one supplement wise.

Some people take dhea but I’m not sure on the side effects as I think some people have dodgy ones.

There’s a book you can get - I think o “it’s called it starts with the egg”

Good luck

Ok thanks will look into it :) @llike
