So after having 3 mcs in the last ten months my gp finally took me seriously and referred me a month ago. Today I had my appointment I just thought it was with gynae to maybe do some basic tests but I've obviously gotten lucky with the postcode lottery and it was actually with a fertility clinic. I've got to schedule my tests in when my next cycle starts and my husband is getting tested too. The consultant gave me some advice about needing to get some proper supplements etc.

But one thing really confused me - I use an Ava to track my cycles (only started in may) as oral temping was becoming difficult with a toddler making my sleep unpredictable. The consultant was really derisive about the Ava and literally scoffed at it. Is this a bad thing to use? I didn't feel confident asking him due to his reaction.

Also anyone got any advice or tips for me starting out? I know I'm lucky to have my son and honestly think you ladies and gents dealing with ongoing fertility issues are absolute bloody warriors. So please do tell me if I'm stepping on toes or asking in the wrong place.

Surely you need the recurrent miscarriage clinic, not the fertility clinic? They should be running a number of blood tests to see why you've miscarried. I'm so sorry you've had to go through that...

@BoomerangLurker im sorry you had to go through 3mcs thats tough. Listen some consultants are really arrogant take no notice you sound like your tryin your best. Are they testing to find out why you keep having miscarriages i take it? It could be something as simple as a hormonal inbalance fx. My only advice would be stay realistic with timeframes its a long process
