Hi everyone

Hope you are all well, i just need help calming down after losing some of my trigger injection....egg collection on wednesday. It looked like there was an air bubble in the syringe, but there wasn't, and I lost about 5 drops, and then some came out of my tummy after I injected. I rang the emergency room number they gave me, and the nurse said I should be fine....has anyone had any experience of this but everything was ok? I've been on meds since the 2nd of August and was so proud of myself for getting to this point, and now I'm afraid I've ruined it....

Hi Maggie.

Please don't worry! My partner did my injections so I never saw if there were any air bubbles thankfully haha, but everyday some of the liquid came back out of my stomach! Unfortunately my Nan died the day I started my IVF so I got confused and did my injections all the wrong way around, but my little embryo still implanted. Unfortunately we had a miscarriage but I did everything wrong as my head was all over and I still had a positive. Easier said than done but try and keep your head high and stay positive as much as you can! Here if you need to chat about anything :) xx

Thank you @Dot457, I'm so sorry about your loss...that's so hard. It's so kind of you to take the time to respond. I just rang the clinic and the nurse said as long as I got 80% of the solution in I have more than enough. I'm pretty sure I got that much in...I've been on the long protocol and some of those drugs were hellish, so I was looking forward to ending this with a few viable eggs, so kicking myself....but I wonder if the Gonasi can impact on your mood too, which might be making me feel down.

I hope you are keeping well and looking after yourself x

I did the same. It was fine, small droplets contain very small amounts of the drug. Good luck for Wednesday!

@Maggie272 Thank you thats really nice of you to say! I do think that the drugs can mess with our hormones and emotions too, on top of a very stressful time, please don't be hard on yourself! We all have the same end goal :) Fingers crossed for you and this while process! Keep us updated on your egg collection :) good luck with it all! xx

@Maggie272 - How did everything go? xx

Maggie272 · 15/10/2019 15:27

Hi @Dot457! Thanks so much for asking! Trigger mistake didn't make a difference, but ours ended in a chemical pregnancy. At least we got a positive line for a while : ) will try round 2 with frozen embryo. How are you? M x

We spilt the trigger shot on the living room floor, my husband had to syringe it up from the puddle on the floor... we lost about a third of it. We still got enough eggs to make 4 embryos.

Two of my embryos developed well and they are currently eating their tea at pre school and the other two embryos are in the freezer - hope you will be so lucky. Try not to worry. X

Twickerhun · 15/10/2019 15:32

Oh gosh sorry just seen how old this is. Good luck for your frozen embryo. X

@Twickerhun what a lovely story! I freaked out that night, but got three embryos, two frozen. Even though I had a chemical, I was so chuffed that I did so well on the cycle, weirdly enough! I was always so bad at school and sports and stuff, but i felt like a bit of a celeb that day in the clinic when they told me i had three great embryos. One of the nurses high fived me!

Hurrah OP - two in the freezer is amazing!

One of my two babies is from a Successful FET after a natural cycle - nerve wracking but amazing.

Hi all
Just finished a 5 day treatment on letrozole and now I have been told to do a trigger shot with gonosi
I really don’t want to take the trigger shot
Has anyone not done it and just kept the letrozole treatment?

Thanks
