High FSH, 3rd CP in 5 months

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post. I'm 40 and already have children by my exdh. In a new relationship and have been ttc for 13 months. I've had 3 cp since May. Never get past 5 weeks. My tests just get fainter and fainter until I bleed and get a BFN.

My GP did tests:

Cd3 bloods- FSH 18.9, LH 8.9, oestrodol 308,
Cd21 bloods- progesterone 41.9

GP says he doesn't know enough (!!) about this to offer advice and so it's a dead end there. I feel heartbroken.

I'm tracking my bbt and OPK and I'm ovulating every month. Hard to tell my LP as the CPs are making it go from 13-18 days, but before these I think it was 13 days.

Someone suggested I try baby aspirin but I don't know if this will help, if I should take it. I just feel like the only option is to give up? Can anyone offer any advice?

@Whyhaveidonethis sorry to hear you are going through this. As you have had 3 in a row you could ask to be referred to the hospital for recurrent miscarriage testing (I didn't have any luck with getting this in my area but others on here have). Also are you taking any supplements? I'm on pregnacare max, also taking ubiquinol to try and improve egg quality. As for baby asprin you need to have full blood count done and a Dr to look at the result. Good luck xx

Thanks @Wesstywoo, what are they looking for in fbc?

I'd maybe swap to Proceive Max which is designed for over 35s and add 200mg coq10 daily - unfortunately at age 40 doctors estimate that 50% of eggs are poor quality so it's going to take a bit longer to catch a good one x

@Whyhaveidonethis I was advised to take 75mg asprin due to raised platelet count which showed up on FBC. Also TSH level should ideally be under 2 for TTC which also shows up on FBC. As PP says it may just be down to unviable embryos and there are supplements you can try to try help with this. Be persistent with your GP, it can be difficult to get the right help!

Thank you both. X

My TSH is 2 and platelets 195 so both in normal range. I do have a low neutrophil count though. Also I've had a b12 deficiency. I'm on 3 monthly b12 injections.

Ditto for CoQ10 as mentioned. And, forms that are water and fat-soluble absorb better.
