I started clomid on CD2 and it’s now CD4 and my period has stopped? It was just light spotting all yesterday but now it’s completely stopped!!

Is this normal?? I still have 2 more tablets to take?
Am I not going to be successful now my period has stopped??😭😭

Please help x

It's not an issue.

Sorry. That was a bit terse. A light period shouldn't prevent pregnancy. However, are you being monitored? Clomid can cause thin lining at the end of a clomid cycle.

Courtneyyloux · 25/08/2019 19:43

No she is not monitoring me I'm not sure why. My SO wants me to move to a different hospital!
Do you think I still have a chance this month?

Xx

Of course there's a chance. Do you not normally ovulate?

Courtneyyloux · 26/08/2019 10:51

No:( not on my own! I have really irregular periods so I got pot on provera to start this period x

So you have every chance. Are they not monitoring to even do a blood test to make sure it's the right dose?

Courtneyyloux · 26/08/2019 16:25

Nope!
I think I'm going to change hospitals!

I think I would... it's not stuff to mess around with. You have a finite number of lifetime doses because it is powerful stuff!

Clomid did make my period shorter and lighter, it didn't cause any problems.

Hi I know this hasn’t been posted on for over a year but I was wondering how you got on, I started clomid yesterday (day 2) and my period stopped last night

Smileyfrown · 04/03/2022 22:06

Hi all did you continue with the tablets ? Mine stopped todaybdayb2 of taking tabs..

Elgifu321 · 12/03/2022 19:33

I’m the exact same, I usually have 5 days of fairly heavy bleeding, I had two normal days (then took clomid at bedtime that day) and had one day of medium to light bleeding and today cd4 is just the smallest bits of spotting. Are you being monitored and has it impacted anything? I’m not taking it monitored so I’m worried it won’t work and I won’t even know xx

Mine was totally weird, I still continued with the tablet, and the following day period was back..??!! I am taking unmonitored also, and done CD2-CD6 this course. I have PCOS so even the ovulation sticks may not be accurate however I have ovulation pain that and the EWCM I try pin point..

Hi love,

Don’t panic—I’ve been in your shoes, and I know how nerve-wracking this can feel! First, it’s completely normal for Clomid to sometimes cause changes in your cycle, like lighter bleeding or spotting. Clomid can alter how your body responds hormonally, and that might explain why your period stopped earlier than expected. It doesn’t mean the cycle won’t be successful—stay positive!

I also took Clomid when I was trying to conceive, and it worked wonders for me. I ordered mine from this reliable pharmacy - world-delivery-service.com/buy-clomid-uk.html, and the delivery was super fast. I took it from CD5 to CD9, and by the second cycle, I was seeing clear signs of ovulation. On my third cycle, I got my BFP (big fat positive) and couldn’t have been happier. 🥰

Remember, Clomid's goal is to stimulate ovulation, not to regulate your period. The fact that your period stopped doesn’t mean it isn’t working. You’re doing everything right, so try not to worry! 💕
