I'm 2dpo on my first Clomid cycle (50g) and I started my Crinone 8% pessaries last night.

I had a scan earlier this week which showed 2 mature follicles, both of which should pop out an egg. Doc is happy with the dosage.

I am putting all my eggs in this basket (haha) and desperately hoping we will be lucky on round one.

Would anyone care to share their Clomid success stories, or share any other information which might help me get through the next couple of weeks?!

Hi.
I'm going on my first round of clomid this week! I'm currently on a provera to kick start a period and then on cd2 I have to take clomid until cd6!

Good luck and keep me updated!❤️

Hello @Courtneyyloux ! Thanks for joining!

I took Clomid on CD2-6 too. Let me know how you get on. I mostly noticed the hot flushes but I also had pretty low mood. I don't know if that was just overtiredness from the hot flushes though! I took my tablets at night, but if I'm not successful this month, I may switch to the morning to see if that changes when I notice the side effects.

Will you be having any monitoring? I had a scan on CD14, and I also got a positive OPK that morning. I haven't been offered a CD21 blood test. Doc says 50g is the right dose, so that's good news.

I didn't need provera because I have pretty regular cycles, despite not always ovulating, so I don't really know how that works. How is it going?

Good luck!

My gyne is pretty bad so she don't really want to see me for updates like scans.
I'm really stuck on if I should take them of a morning or not because I've heard the side affects are horrid😔

I wish you loads of luck!
Keep me updated

My 15 year old DS is thanks to Clomid! Had been trying for months and months and then tests showed I wasn't ovulating. Started Clomid in the October and got pregnant December but miscarried. Then got pregnant again in the February and DS born in the November! Then 2 years or so later when I thought I'd have to go through the Clomid thing all over again to have DS2 I actually got pregnant naturally first time we tried! Good luck.

ClomidCarrow · 19/08/2019 11:33

Thanks @JellyBelly10 ! I am sorry for your loss, but it is so reassuring to hear a success story, particularly followed by a natural pregnancy. Can I ask what your diagnosis was for Clomid in the first place? Was there a reason why you weren't ovulating?

@Courtneyyloux Monitoring seems to be really hit and miss. Some people seem to be offered a lot of monitoring, and others none at all.

I'm not sure if taking them at a different time of day has much of a difference! I think I'll try taking them in the morning next cycle, if I'm not lucky this time round.

My 4 year old DS is the result of clomid. We were actually told we had male factor infertility but my doctor thought clomid was worth a try anyway. I’d had tests which showed I ovulated but I’m so grateful to that doctor for her have a go anyway attitude. I too miscarried my first but got pregnant very quickly again. I also have a 1 year old DD who was conceived naturally. I’d kept some clomid as I thought we would have similar issues but it took 4 months to conceive naturally.

Hope everything goes well for you

Ps I took mine in the morning too

I started spotting yesterday and I have started my period today! So i can take my first clomid pill tomorrow!! I'm so nervous

ClomidCarrow · 22/08/2019 12:21

Congratulations on AF @Courtneyyloux ! It's not often we celebrate that, is it?! Exciting times. I hope you get on with the Clomid ok. Consensus seems to be to take it in the morning. Let me know how you get on, and fingers crossed for you.

@Toolchest13 thanks so much for sharing your story. I'm sorry you had a loss, but how wonderful to go on to have two lovely babies. It really helps to hear happy endings.

I'm 8dpo today and my positivity seems to have gone. This time next week I should know, one way or the other. Wish me luck! Smile

I'm on CD4 and my period has completely stopped🤷🏼‍♀️
Not sure what to think? Do you have any idea? X

ClomidCarrow · 26/08/2019 08:40

@Courtneyyloux how long does AF usually last? Mine has usually tailed off by CD4 now. Perhaps the provera is behind it? I just kept taking the Clomid till CD6. I don't think you need to be bleeding to take it. What is it that you're worried about?

Courtneyyloux · 26/08/2019 10:53

About 6/7 days normally!
I'm just worried now I stopped bleeding it won't worn aswel so I'm not sure when I'm actually going to ovulate🤷🏼‍♀️
Me and S/O are just going to start BD every other day!

Not sure when to start taking ovulation tests! X

ClomidCarrow · 26/08/2019 11:48

@Courtneyyloux had you been tracking your cycles before? I found Clomid didn't change my cycle at all. I started OPKs in CD11 like usual, and Ov'd on day 15. Unless you know you ov early, I'd start with OPKs on day 10.

If your cycle is playing up, it may be the classic trick of your body just deciding to throw you a weird cycle for a month. There's so many stories of that on this board.

Keep going!

How are you doing?
I'm on CD14

Not sure if I'm close to or I've already ovulated! X

Clomid worked the first time for me, after having secondary infertility. I sadly had a mmc at almost 10 weeks that turned out to be due to Trisomy 21, but that wasn’t anything to do with the clomid. So that’s kind of a success story as I hadn’t had a hint of a bfp for the previous 8 months!

Scrumptiousbears · 07/09/2019 18:47

I fell pregnant with twins on my second round of Clomid. My second pregnancy was natural a year after I gave birth to the first.

Courtneyyloux · 14/09/2019 13:41

Hi!
I think I'm currently 11dpo !

Took a test this morning and not sure if it's a evap or VVFL !
