So I broke and tested early at 9dp5dt. We had two blastocysts pit back (AB BA) with glue. I tested today after having cramps last night and o think those cramps are af trying to break through the cyclogest.

Anyone ever tested early and still got a BFP later?

Hi OP my official test day is always 9dp5dt as they would expect to see a BFP by now? Was this a frozen or fresh transfer? Sometimes frozen can take a little longer to get going - did you use a FRER test?

It was a fresh transfer and I used a Rapid response test from amazon as I don't have any FRER. I called the clinic and they said Friday is the OTD and it will most likely be negative till then.

I'm not sure why your clinic would say you wouldn't get a BFP until Friday - at 9dp5dt your technically 14DPO and in a "normal" situation you would expect to get a BFP by then - my clinic expects a hcg level of 100 or more 9dp5dt for the best chance of a successful pregnancy

9dp5dt my hcg level was 76 - ended in ectopic
A friend with same clinic on same day was 67 - ended in miscarriage
Someone else 9dp5dt- hcg of 400 - successful pregnancy so far

I don't want to discourage you just manage expectations really x

In fairness my husband reckons he sees the line and I'm just being dozy. The clinic told me that I'm currently 13 days past conception and tomorrow afternoon will be my 14days point so testing Friday morning is when I need to read it. Also based on my history they have pointed out that I tested negative at 5 weeks pregnant and it was seven weeks before I had a strong positive. I think the issue is you have to wait four hours between going to the toilet and I can just about manage 1.5 or two if I really have to and have no choice. I've always been a wee on the hour sort of girl.

If your test is one of those cheapy test strips could well be a BFP - I find them impossible to read unless the line is really dark!

If you struggle to hold wee more than a couple of hours that is definitely going to affect things too - can't you hold longer even through the night?

magpiecounter · 07/08/2019 13:15

After a couple of hours it's painful enough to wake me up 😂

They're cheap amazon ones and not a FRERs one or two of them are even scratched on the window too which makes it harder to read.

But that's the thing. In a "normal" situation I didn't test positive till I was far enough along that I missed the start and even had a night out not knowing I was pregnant. At the point of seeing a dr I guessed only a few weeks and a scan showed just over seven. A couple of weeks before I'd done a pregnancy test at the conception clinic and it was negative so they gave me the pill!

I think I saw your test on another thread.....does look like a line there so still in with a Chance I reckon! X

Really? Omg I would be so happy if it was a line. I'm trying not to lose hope but it's so hard. X
