Referral to infertility clinic

Hello,
I finally got my referral to the infertility clinic from my GP After 4 months and our appointment is next week.
I was wondering if anyone can let me know what to expect on the first appointment there as on the referral letter is saying hat we should allow more than two hours for this. Any tests would be done? What kind? Ultra sounds, testing for smoking, blood tests?
I already have a very good idea of what it might be wrong (low progesterone) and we already done all other tests for sperm and my hormones. Thanksss!

I can't offer much advice as I am in the same boat! We have our first appointment at the clinic next Thursday. I believe mine is just a nurse led appointment and our letter says it will be for 45 mins. We have already had bloods done, semen analysis and I have had an ultrasound and all signs are pointing at PCOS which I already suspected. Getting a bit nervous now and it's all feeling quite real but excited that things are moving!

Hello@merasmus89! I am very anxious and i dont know why but i would like to maybe know what it would be done just for a bit more insight and possibly to calm down.
Its a long wait and i can completely understand how you feel. Its like i need more time to prepare myself but again until i got the letter i was anxious of how long it was taking! But agree at least its moving forward!
I hope we will be able to get treatment relatively soon even though i dont think that is the case as there indications of treatment starting a few months after the initial appointment! Fingers crossed!

I'm also in the same boat! My blood tests showed low progesterone and doctor said possible PCOS. My appointment at the fertility clinic is in 2 months.

I waited a year until after I came off the pill before I booked a doctors appointment as I thought it would be a waste of time doing it before then but wish I'd gone sooner as everything is so sloooowwwww!

So, sorry, I haven't actually answered your question at all but just wanted to let you know you're not alone 😊

Hello @FruitTwistFanta. Thanks for sharing. I start taking vitex a month ago as a lot of people suggested that it might help to regulate the hormones and help with increasing progesterone. However i think it might mess your period a bit according to what i read. I will
Continue until my appointment i assume and according to what happens then i will need to stop it if they put me on clomid.
I am so anxious about this. As far as i gathered they will order a new series of tests and also the AMH hormone. At least its happening!
