Had my third ivf FET last week and have just come on my period. Why why why is life so cruel and why isn't anything working. I don't know how much longer I can go on and my mental health is at rock bottom..... suicide seems very tempting right now Sad

@Maximoo06 I haven't told anyone at work what's been going on including my manager. I haven't taken anytime off which in hindsight wasn't the right thing to do. I was really struggling a few weeks ago where I was beyond exhausted and couldn't get myself of of bed. I even had a comment from someone at saying I 'wasn't present in my work' I really wanted to tell her to f off and leave my alone. I went to the doctors about it and broke down, he did some bloods to see if anything was causing the exhaustion, nothing was wrong. He did offer to sign me off sick but I think it would add to my stress. Only me does my job so if I was off it wouldn't get done. I'm not really sure how to manage work, sorry.

I'm so sorry you're having such a tough time.

If you're looking into alternatives I'd suggest Dr Shehata's private CRP clinic which is in London and Epsom. He specialises in recurrent miscarriage but also recurrent implantation failures and can look in to things like auto immune issuses that can make it very difficult to get and stay pregnant. Ig you search back on here a lot of women have had success eith him after years of infertility.

Just a quick post because I saw endometrial scratch mentioned. I think (please check this out) that a recent large study showed it had no impact on success. Add on treatments are a minefield and very expensive to boot. The hfea has some info online about it.

I feel like I'm at that stage where I would try anything. I did read that study but there does seem to be people the scratch worked for.

@LillyLeaf would you consider telling your manager at work as they might be really helpful and be able to help with some of the stress concerning work. But I understand not wanting to tell people I have told a select few at work who have been a great support system for me.

Hi @LillyLeaf I told work and they have been fantastic and are letting me work as flexibly as I need. I honestly couldn't have wished for a better outcome. Suppose it depends on your relationship with your boss, but it certainly lifted a weight off me by sharing. Do you think you could tell them?

However, after my third failed cycle and with a big project to deliver in the year ahead, I'm really not sure I have it in me to persevere with IVF and high expectations at work.

It seems balance and concurrent IVF cycles are near on impossible for us ladies who don't get lucky on their first transfers.

Wishing you good luck in your journey ❤️
