BMI worries

Hi,
I am new to this and hoping someone can help please.
Does anyone have any experience of what happens when you don't meet the BMI criteria for NHS funding for fertility treatment?
We were referred by the GP some time ago (due to male infertility) and had our first appointment back in April. At this time I had a BMI of 29 so all was good. We have since undergone all the required tests, including SA and pelvic scan etc.
Our next appointment was originally scheduled for 6 months later (October 19), however this has just been brought forward to this Friday. I should be over the moon about this, however I have put on weight an am now at a BMI of 32 (I have about a stone to lose to get back in range). I am dieting so this is coming back down but obviously not in time for Friday's appointment.
I know this appointment will be to discuss the test results but I have no idea if I will be weighed again or if it is at this stage an NHS funding application is submitted.
If they weigh me again, will we have to start the whole process over from scratch or will they simply put us on 'hold' until my BMI has come down?
Can anyone shed any light on the process please? I am so scared that I have set us back.

At my clinic they weigh you before they even let you in the room. NHS are gagging to stop people getting ivf for any reason necessary. I would look up the rules for your NHS trust /CCG and if it says a bmi above 30 then you're all good.

I was only weighed at the beginning of my clomid treatment at the NHS hospital. Asked to declare weight on forms for IVF but no one has actually ever checked this

I could have wrote your post op! Except our appointment was meant for September and got brought forward a few weeks ago, if you are male factor and you have had all your tests, I’m assuming you’ve had a hsg? Then I’m thinking you should be referred this Friday and your consultant will send off for the funding and give you bits of paperwork about the actual ivf procedure. It odviously depends on which clinic but I was weighed once and that was before seeing a consultant my bmi is 28. I wasn’t weighed again. I’m not sure if they weight you just before starting ivf though. Don’t worry about it too much if you are weighed it might just postpone you for a little while. X

I was about half a stone over at our last appt before IVF was due to start they asked me how long I needed to lose it and when I said between 4 and 6 weeks they made me an appt for then, I lost the weight went to the appt and was given the go ahead, my cycle started on my next day 21 and my DD is currently asleep in my arms. This was last year at Leeds Seacroft. Good luck with losing weight and IVF.

@maybe2020 - I've not had an hsg. There's been no mention of it. In fact, I had to google what it was

Forgot to say, I am being seen at the Luton & Dunstable Fertility Centre but my GP location puts us under East and North Herts NHS Trust x

I’m not sure then, I had to have it done as part of our check up don’t think I would be referred without doing so but I’m not sure if this is the same with every clinic so don’t worry about that too much x
