EC-Anyone have birth success with just 6 follicles?

Hey ladies, I had my scan today and there are only 6 follicles. My final scan is Wednesday then EC might be Fri or Sat.

My consultant isn’t giving me much hope but being realistic I guess given my age (41). Just wanted to know if anyone had 6 follicles but still had eggs collected which became successful live birth.

I’m due to have a freeze all ( if any eggs collected which fertilise to blastocyst) but I’m really hoping she goes for fresh transfer but we won’t know till potentially end of next week

I just really hope I get good amount of eggs and quality. I’ve been loading up on 300mcg ubiquinol as well as other supplements.

Is it worth doing acupuncture you think and if so when should I do maybe. Keeping my fingers crossed 🤞

Hi there OP, like you I was also 41 on my last IVF cycle. I was taking co enzyme q10 like you. If I remember correctly I had 5 eggs at collection. 2 made it to day 3 transfer. I was actually so surprised any fertilised given my age that I actually burst out crying on the phone when clinic told me! 2 were put back and one is now a boisterous 3 year old! With acupuncture I think your supposed to have weekly sessions whilst stimming so maybe a bit late to do it this time

Also it's DHEA you need to be on for egg numbers - but it takes 3 months to work as that's how long it takes for eggs to grow/mature

Eat lots and lots of protein to help mature the eggs you've got and drinks loads of water - I think the advice is 2l a day

Itwasalovely-I’ll leave the acupuncture for now then I think, I’ve been on ubiquinol, vit d, folic, zita west, omega 3, vit e and c for so long as well as alpha lipoic pills concoction as I read it starts with egg and author mentioned to take.ive been on this stuff for well over 3mths

Since swimming I’ve been trying to drink up to 3litres water a day and try having at least 60g protein a day (quark is very good but I have eggs and dairy, the odd bit of meat). I have mostly avoided caffeinated drinks too for few months but might have had odd cheeky one

I’m bit overweight but try eat mindfully and exercise alit less than I use to. Swimming at mo I feel quite bloated so motivation not there

Really hoping I’m lucky enough to get good number

I’ve heard of dhea but I understand clinic would advise. As I have endometriosis ivf should help more dr is thinking. I’m so nervous with the egg collection. Any tips post recovery would be great

So I had my egg collection this morning and to my surprise they collected 8 eggs. I’m hoping they fertilise and survive next few days. I was feeling quite anxious about EC but staff were so lovely and before I knew it I was out of there with hubby.

Sorry kitkat forgot to have a look at this! 8 is amazing. How are they doing now?

Hi, so 4 fertilised then got call from lab yesterday on day 3. Three of 4 are good quality and other one still same from day two, hoping it catches up.
