Period after miscarriage

Hi everyone I had a miscarriage and d&c 6 weeks and 3 days ago. I started my period on Thursday but by yesterday (Sunday) it had stopped. Is this normal? I was told that the first period would be really heavy and probably last longer. But it wasn't massively heavy and lasted 3 days. I want to try for a baby but I have no idea if my cycle has returned normally now.

Mine was heavier but everyone is different. If I were you, if you are ready, just start trying. I waited till my first period and regret it as I k now others who started trying straight away (not waiting for their first period) who fell pregnant straight away. 6 months later and with fertility drugs I'm still not pregnant.

My advice to you is dont wait x

Thanks for your advice. I wasn't sure if I wanted to try again as the miscarriage for me was extremely traumatic (almost died due to blood loss). But feeling a lot better about it now. Just worried that it wasn't a proper period. It's so stressful!

I'm so sorry to hear about your struggles. As you say everyone is different. Maybe a silly question but have you downloaded the app 'flo' ? I used this to get pregnant and it was absolutely amazing at telling you when you're likely to get pregnant you can also track symptoms making it a lot easier to manage. Best of luck with everything x

I use the app Clue at the moment, I've not tried 'Flo' but I will give it a go. I'm willing to try anything.

My sympathy is with you, mine was very traumatic too, though not life threatening like yours. I'm fairly sure mine has left me with PTSD and getting help is harder than I anticipated. I keep trying to soldier on though. Best of luck to you too x

Definitely try it it's worked great for me and I'm going to use it this time around. It's free so worth a shot !

It's so hard and I don't think the stress helps especially if you're trying again. Although I know it's impossible not to stress. I hope it happens for you really soon.

X

Mine was about a month after mc and I had one crazily heavy day, sorry for the tmi but I could feel the blood coming out even when lying down 😕 we started ttc straight after. Everyone is different. So do what's good for you. Sorry for your loss 💔
