Hi ladies, I am due for my very first EC with Create Fertility and would really like to hear your experiences with them. I am on the 3 cycle treatment with natural modified IVF due to my very low AMH (0.7). First EC is next week and hoping for a FET later in the year or early next year. Any advice/experience would be very appreciated, thank you.

Hiya, we started our journey with Create in January and I have been very happy with them. I'm 40, DP is 50, TTC our first for 2.5yrs now. We initially went for a single cycle mild IVF as my AMH is not low (it's 34 so actually high which is probably due to my PCO). They collected 13 eggs. 10 fertilised, and amazingly all 10 made it to day 5 blastocyst stage. The embryologist was really helpful and called every day with progress updates and gave lots of info about what was going on. We kept the 6 best quality blastocysts and had a fresh transfer with one of them. This implanted but unfortunately ended at about 5/40 so was a chemical pregnancy. It's the first time I've ever seen a BFP though so whilst obviously disappointing, for me this was positive and progress in the right direction! If AF arrives as expected on Friday we will be starting a medicated FET cycle. Fingers crossed!!!

How are you getting on?

I'm also with Create - not the London one though (have heard some mixed reviews about that one) - I find them really nice and helpful - I opted for mild ivf - had one failed FET in March and now 3dp5dt today with a second transfer. We ll do another full cycle with Create and if it doesn't work would look elsewhere for a final round

In my regional clinic the reception staff are a bit ditzy but lovely - they get the costs wrong a lot and I've had to correct them a couple of times but honestly the care has been fantastic so far - I even had a natural conception the month after my FET (sadly ended in miscarriage) but Create prescribed extra medication to see if it would help prevent miscarriage and also gave me free follow up consultations and scans

@FlipKat wow 10!!! That's an incredible number, fingers crossed your next FET will be s full and healthy pregnancy 🤞🤞🤞

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted Fingers crossed its a BFP soon 🍀. If you don't mind me asking, how many eggs did you get?

I'm partly with St Paul's clinic as all the 'dirty' work (EC and FET) happens there. Hoping to have my first EC in the next few days and will need all the luck I can possibly have given my low number of eggs. I'm constantly on the edge with worry to a point where I often have tears in my eyes all day long and the process haven't even started 🙈

@QuantumGirl my numbers as follows

14 eggs - considered a lot for mild ivf but had early stage OHSS

12 mature

10 fertilised. Lower than expected egg quality......

3 made it to freeze all - 2nr grade 3AB and 1BC

We transferred 1nr of the 3AB in March which failed and then they agreed to transfer both the remaining ones this time round as I'm not convinced the quality is good. (Create said they were surprised we didn't get more blastocysts given how many we collected)

After EC at the end of January and the shock about egg quality I changed my vitamins to Proceive Max and started taking 200mg coq10 a day - 6 weeks later got my surprise natural BFP - so I think the change in vitamins has really helped the egg quality so hopefully the next cycle will be better

QuantumGirl · 21/06/2019 08:24

Thank you @itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted it was indeed a really good number of eggs and thank you for sharing your vitamins.

I'm pondering if I should go for 3 consecutive EC or have a break in between. What did you do? 🤔

I did EC and then FET 6 weeks later - we ve decided to do additional tests before embarking on another EC - we didn't do sperm fragmentation testing last time but want to do that before next EC - if he has a problem the treatment is 3 months and that will give us some time to get super healthy

hi all, thanks for creating this thread. i heard about Create randomly. i wasn't sure why they would say a 3 cycle offer if they r so good!? surely that's saying you won't get pregnant first time? where in london is better? which doctor did you see/ bond with? any recommendations?

itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted · 25/06/2019 19:39

The 3 cycle package is more for those with low AMH - Create specialise in treating women with low egg reserve who would respond poorly to IVF - for those who have normal reserves and respond normally you can expect to collect 8-10 eggs or more. If you have low AMH you might only get 1 or 2 and you might lose at least one or both if neither make it to fertilise or blast. IVF is a numbers game - the 3 cycle package enables you to collect enough eggs to have a decent chance of getting 1 or more to blastocyst stage

I asked about it when I went to my consult - my AMH is lower than average but still ok so they said don't bother about the 3 cycle package so there was no hard sell from their point of view

physicskate · 26/06/2019 06:16

@facevalue an ivf cycle is less likely to work at all ages than it is to work. Multiple cycles makes the odds better. It only takes one embryo, but not all embryos will work...

Hi ladies, thanks again. it feels like a lonely journey. I did check out the clinic but I was concerned that the people that do the talks ( professors ) don't actually see you. you get seen by a junior consultant to basically to get the experience from you. it is not for me. i need to find another clinic.

How did it go? Have you been successful? I'm over 40s with low AMH and wondering if I should check Create?
