Hi - I am considering getting a sperm donor and trying to conceive through the Lister Clinic in the UK as a friend recommended this clinic - but so far my experience has been negative with them. I wondered if anybody else could share information re good fertility clinics?
In short - I asked them on the phone about six week ago if they had the facility to offer clients adult photographs of donors. The response was very strange - silent, and vague - the receptionist ended up saying they were on the phone at the moment to America about the 'issue'. They never called back. I emailed a few weeks ago and they responded saying they had no information yet regarding whether they offered adult photos or not. Very strange and fishy!
Would be great to get any advice as not sure which way to turn. Thank you!

You would need to choose your donor from their approved sperm banks - I think those are Xytex, European Sperm Bank and London Sperm Bank. If I recall correctly I think Xytex have adult photos of the donors. Rather than fishy, their answer was probably vague as they don’t have anything to do with your donor choice - you simply ship the sperm to them once you have chosen and they will store it for you for use during your cycle. Hope this helps.

I have recently conceived as a result of the Lister so I suppose I’d recommend it on that level but I have found the correspondence and lack of consultant support really very poor indeed.
Good luck with everything.

Thank you sugarplum. I’ve def gone off them already tbh so now looking at clinics that definitely have an American important licence as seeing adult photo of donor is important to me, I want as much info as poss.
