Anybody have any ezperience using Ovidrel

So I've been being monitored for sometime now and on fertility drugs..latest being letrozole which appears to be working for me and making me ovulate and have a healthy cycle length (prior to this I wasnt ovulating and have 90+ day cycles and having to induce bleeds etc. I went for a FTS (follicle tracking scan) yesterday and they said my most dominant follicle was 18mm and to do the ovidrel shot when I got home which I did. How long after that shot should you ovulate? I want to try and time intercourse as close as possible to when its going to happen to give us the best chance as much partners swimmers aren't the greatest I dont think. Any help would be much appreciated.

Has your partner been tested? What makes you think they aren't the best?

I think ovulation happens 12-36 hours later. I took ovidrel 12 hours before my egg collection for ivf.

Bear in mind it will take some hours (up to 24) for the sperm to get into the Fallopian tube to where the egg is. So sex before trigger and then after might be best!

@Physicskate thanks for your reply. We didnt have sex before the trigger however we had sex last night. I did an ovulation test this morning which was a static smiley on a clear blue digital. So that's a positive test to me? So I've thought the best thing to do is wait until this evening and have sex again give my partners sperm 24 hours to replenish and then see what happens. Xx

I did another clearblue digital ovulation test just a minute ago and that said negative. So the chances are my two most fertile days were Saturday and Sunday..have I got that right? It's all very confusing. Lol xx
