Hi all

Myself and partner have been TTC for 2 years and after recent appointment doctor said they can’t explain why it’s not happening...although I have had further tests for under active thyroid as this may be a contributor (awaiting these results)

She advised us on some lifestyle changes which we are working on but also suggested multivitamins for my partner...does anyone have any advice on this, for myself and partner? There are so many out there! I am already taking folic acid. Thanks x

My dh takes wellman conception. When he started these we got our bfp the next month. It did end in mmc but that's the only thing we did differently after 16 months ttc. I take the seven seas folic acid and vitamin D, plus ubiquinol (am 35 and read it can help with egg quality)

Good luck 🤞

Fertility clinic recommended wellman conception for DH and Pregnacare Max for me

Selenium is good for sperm I believe. DH and I both took that and a bunch of others when we had our successful pregnancy. I'll dig out the list.

My clinic also recommended Pregnacare Max and my hubby takes wellman conception when he remembers! Eating two Brazil nuts a day is recommended for selenium for men and women I think.

Both me and DH took pregnacare for years but have now switched to Proceive Max (for over 35s) and I also take 200mg coq10 a day (Proceive has the most "stuff" in it that I've found and you can get online from Boots so I stock up on rewards points days)

Had first BFP in couple of years last month after changing vitamins - ended in miscarriage but feeling more hopeful as it can take 90 days to have an effect on egg quality

My husband started having a handful of nuts with his lunch everyday. It was the only really change he made and he saw a huge improvement in the quality of his count.

I've also recently switched to Proceive Max and 200mg ubiquinol - not sure if it will help but need to feel like I'm doing all I can. They had 25% off in Holland & Barratt a couple of weeks ago. Wellman for DH.

Thanks for the advice I will have a look into a few of these!

Yes, ditto for ubiquinol, and a water and fat-soluble form absorbs better.

I read it starts with the egg then looked up all fertility vitamins to see which were closest to the recommended dosage and contained most of the vitamins recommended. The best was the zita west male preconception pack. Followed by proceive Max. My DH improved his count from 1mil to 5mil to 18mil by taking proceive Max, no caffeine, no alcohol, increased nuts, limited gluten, overall ate healthier and taking some chinese meds recommended by acupuncturist.
