I'm really hoping someone can help me with this as I don't understand what is happening.
I am on day 12 of a medicated FET cycle and have been taking estrogen supplements for 9 days (progynova). Transfer is due next week. However, yesterday I started cramping and bleeding. The bleeding is not like a period, it's half mucous and half dark red/brown blood. It's far more than just spotting, i.e. I need to wear a liner, but not as heavy as a period.
However, yesterday I went for a scan and the clinic said the lining is ok, and is not breaking down. So the blood is not coming from there. I do have 3 small ovarian cysts (2cm, 2cm and 3cm) which they are not worried about as they are not producing hormones. Basically they don't know why I am bleeding but said they will 'keep an eye on it'.
Any idea what could be causing this? Any similar experiences within or outside the IVF process? I have never had any bleeding of any kind between periods and it's freaking me out!
