IVF abroad with egg donor

Hi,
I am 44 years old, and had 1 failed ivf treatment in the UK last year. The consultant said this was due to the quality of my eggs and suggested using an egg donor. We have our own egg donor (my niece) and would like to know if anyone has any good experiences with clinics abroad and rough costs, as we would like it done this year but can't afford the prices in the UK. Thanks

Hi, forgot to mention I have had 2 miscarriages, which occurred due to natural conception, but in both cases i miscarried after 7-8 weeks.

Would you consider India? There are several clinics there on a par with Zita West that specialize in older women using egg donors.

My friend went to Barcelona, said they were great and cheaper than uk.

I thought European clinics had strict guidelines on egg/sperm/embryo donors being anonymous? I may be wrong but when we went out to Greece they informed us of this for any type of donation

@64632K yes they do. Any child conceived would never be able to contact the donor or find out more info

It is something to carefully think about as the reason why the law changed in UK is because it was proved to be long term harmful to the child to not be able to find out about the donor as an adult
