Hello I have just come home from my consent signing for ivf. I have had 2 miscarriages in 5months after trying for 2half years. So the nurse went and asked consultant for his advice , he said he doesn't think it's the road for us at the minute. As I am getting pregnant with letrozole. I am quite positive that I will get pregnant again. I'm just scared of miscarriage happening again. I'm 31 at end of month and have got pcos. Can anyone help me in what tests I can ask for? As I just feel like I'm one step forward two steps back. They said they will give me funding if nothing happens for 6 months... I'm not seeing consultant till 20th June feels like a lifetime away... anyone got any advice on tests tablets that may help ? Thanks

With PCOS an immune or clotting issue is likely. Ask for a full thyroid panel (with antibodies test), and testing for clotting disorders. If the Fertility clinic is doing the tests you can get immunological testing too which tests your NK killer cells - that can indicate whether there’s an autoimmune condition at play.

Are you on Metformin? If not then maybe ask if that would help you prevent a miscarriage? It doesn’t help all women with PCOS.
