Trying to get pregnant naturally with low AMH

Hi, I'm 34 and have been trying to get pregnant since Oct 2018. Earlier in 2018 I got pregnant by accident (didn't take the pill properly) but that ended in a miscarriage in May 2018. Since then whatever I do I just can't seem to get pregnant. I've take supplents, eat healthy, exercise and use ovulation tests. I'm a pretty healthy weight at size 8/10. I went to my doctor and they've run blood tests and had a couple of hospital appointments. My next appointment though now isn't till November. The only thing they have found so far is my Amh is quite low for my age at 12.6 but my Fsh is in the normal range. I got pregnant straight away before but now it's just not happening and I'm worried about my Amh levels. I can't speak to the hospital to my appointment in November. They've done an ultrasound and not found anything. Has anyone / is anyone in a similar position? Can anyone recommend anything? Thanks x

Hi OP I've just turned 36 and had AMH tested when I was 35 and it came back at 12.9 so almost the same as yours. I had a failed ivf cycle in February and then had a surprise natural BFP last month but that ended in miscarriage but I am more positive that maybe we can get pregnant naturally again (I only have 1 tube after a ruptured ectopic last year so my odds are now lower than most)
My IVF clinic weren't too bothered about my AMH level and they just tweaked my medication and I actually had a good response in terms of number of eggs collected (although some were poor quality)

For this last natural BFP I made the following changes after failed ivf (since it's the first BFP I've had in over a year some of the changes must of worked?)

• changed to Proceive Max supplements- expensive but there is 25% off Holland and Barratt at the moment - it's got the most "stuff" in it that I can find and is also designed for women 35+
• tried fertility acupuncture
• low carb higher protein diet
• drank a glass of full fat milk each day
• 200mg C0q10 daily

12.6 is within normal ranges for your age?

Just for clarity, you've been ttc for 8 months?

At OPs age the normal range is 22+ according to my IVF clinic who I saw at a similar age to the OP X

As someone who works in the field that result at age 34 would not be concerning
From personal experience my amh at the age of 35 was 4, and that was low

I know it can be incredibly stressful when it doesn't happen straight away but as difficult as it may be, please do remember that it has not yet been a year and the majority of couples conceive within the first year of trying
Particularly as you have had some investigations which have thus far been normal and hopefully reassuring for you
Your AMH level is not something that you need to be worried about. It is not a reflection of your ability to conceive spontaneously. It's use is actually to help decide what dose of drugs someone would need for IVF
Are you having regular cycles? Are you at risk of having blocked tubes (although as you have recently conceived you can be reassured that at least one of your tubes are open). Make sure your husband ejaculates every few days
From a personal point of view (I needed IVF) I took lots of tablets and did get very stressed about everything but it didn't help me
But I would recommend coenzyme Q10

If you haven't conceived after one year I would get your husband's semen tested

user1492346620 thank you for the reply. Yes it's getting a bit stressful particularly as it happened so quickly last time. I have regular cycles. Partners doing a sperm test end of this month.
I'm taking I think it's called fertility aid supplement at the moment. Also drink decaf tea now too as I'm a bit of a tea addict.

Your amh is not low. Mine was 2.8 at 34 (now that’s low!) and I’ve still been pregnant 3 times and had two live births since then.

Also, I know it seems like forever but 8 months really is nothing for Ttc.

Maybe don't put this in the infertility board.
