Clomid am/pm

Does anyone know whether it's best to take clomid am/pm?
Thought initially about taking it at night as if I have side effects, hopefully I'd sleep through, but now I'm worrying if I take at night and have bad side effects that I won't be able to sleep through! I think I'd rather deal with it throughout the day than to have a sleepless night!
It's not as if I can change the day after then either as got to be taken at same time everyday.
What are your experiences please?
I'll be starting it tomorrow.

I took it before bed so as to sleep through the side effects.

@juneybean thank you. Did you have many side effects with it?

I took it at night as that's what was recommended by the nurse who prescribed it. I found the side effects were unpleasant but mild enough that I still got a full night's sleep every night. I did have some nausea in the mornings but only when I was on 150mg - in fact I got car sick for the first time in my adult life. I'm now pregnant and I'd compare the side effects of clomid to how I felt in the first trimester.

If you're worried about side effects and when's the best time to take it, could you maybe contact the person who prescribed it and see what they say?

Good luck, I hope it works for you without too many nasty side effects Smile

I had hot flushes in the night, and had a serious anxiety attack on day 5 of taking it (woke up at 5.30am and couldn't get back to sleep but felt fine in the afternoon)

AnxietyForever · 28/03/2019 14:29

I took it on a night also. The only side effects I remember was hot flushes.

@ItProtectsMyHead thanks for your reply.
Congratulations on your pregnancy! Do you kind me asking how many cycles you had on clomid before conceiving?
I did ask whilst as I was there and she said she recommends night, but only because you tend to remember better at night.
Thank you. Keeping my fingers crossed!

@juneybean sorry you had such a bad experience on day 5!

@AnxietyForever thank you, seems to be hot flushes are what most experience then from what I'm reading!
