Mooncup - worth a try?

Seen mooncups in boots and wondered if there worth a try while me and dh wait to start ivf next year.
We have male factor infertility and heard it’s a good thing to use mooncups after sex to
Keep everything in 🤷🏻‍♀️
I’m just a little worried about them causing toxic shock ? Are they a risk
For that? Years ago I had to stop using tampons as I found they made period pains worse. Don’t know if there was any connection but I now use pads instead.
Are they worth using? Anyone gotten pregnant despite mfi while using one?

I'd say it's worth a go, as far as I know there is no risk of toxic shock with menstrual cups. I bought one around October last year and once you get used to it it is so much better than pads during you're period. I read up a bit about using it to aid conception and decided to give it a go. We had been trying for our second baby for around 15 months ( with one miscarriage along the way) with no luck, first month I tried putting in the cup after sex I had a chemical pregnancy and the month after got pregnant ( now 13 weeks)! So seemed to make a difference for us but no idea if just a coincidence!

The type of menstrual cup that's usually recommended for this purpose is slightly different - you want 'softcups' which sit right next to your cervix. A mooncup probably wouldn't be much help since it's a much deeper shape. Good luck!

Try googling “the stork”

Mooncup - worth a try?

I wouldn't bother with the soft cups. They're very hard to apply once there is semen inside them, it all spills out!

Putting one in after sex doesn't work well as then the cup takes the majority of it out and you could risk reducing chances further.

The best thing to do is get the ejaculate in a moon cup and then put it in.

It worked first time for me, perhaps worth a try OP? Good luck Thanks
