So, DH's analysis came back. Zero sperm. Feeling devastated.

Psychologika my DH had exactly this in both his samples. They bluntly said he would never have a biological child, he was absolutely devastated. We did TESE and they found enough sperm to freeze 3 vials and use in our rounds.

Support DH because thay news will be far harder for him that it will be for you

While not zero sperm we had a low count...the news is hard to take but take some time to digest the information and work out a plan for the way forward.

Claudie86 · 01/03/2019 15:20

Is this his first analysis?

Psychologika · 01/03/2019 18:18

Yes, first analysis.

He actually has four children from his first marriage, albeit 16 years ago. He's actually okay about it.

Analysis was just what was ordered by GP. Will the nhs look at causes/solutions?

They will order another sample 3 months from this one to confirm that no sperm exists first

Psychologika · 01/03/2019 18:56

That's useful to know, thank you!

Also we were told to take condensyl for 3 months to try and increase the count.
