How far is your IVF/ICSI clinic from work?

We are potentially going for ivf later this year, I’m due to start new job in couple weeks which is in docklands london.

I’ve been looking at ivf clinics near my work, all are in central London. I really like CARE London but they are near baker st and I’m thinking cycle monitoring might be bit of challenge getting there at lunchtimes when cycle monitoring though I think they open at 8am.

Lister have clinic in the shard London Bridge plus there is bridge centre London women’s clinic also in London Bridge, both lot closer but reviews aren’t as great so trying to wing it

How easy is it for you to get to your clinic when you’re working too?

Ultimately I want clinic that Is good result not just how close they are.

Mine was less then 25mins on the tube from work to the clinic so it was manageable popping out at lunch if needed and fine in the mornings. Try to make it easy for yourself. It also depends on how flexible your working hours are. I was fine coming into a bit late in the mornings. Sometimes the appointments don't always run on time even at a private clinics. Good luck.

I went to Create (Birmingham though) - their scans start at 730am and they only do short protocol so maybe 3 scans and I was able to get in and straight to work without anyone noticing!

I think from Canary Wharf to Baker Street takes around 25mins and I may have to wing it. I don’t know about flexible hours but the clinic mentioned I’d need probably 3 scans before ec.

I work in Holborn and am with Guys and Thomas's, London Bridge. It takes about 30 mins on the tube, so I can have some of my appointments in my lunch hour. Saves taking sick days or half day holidays...

Mine is like 75 miles for monitoring and 110 for transfer. All on public transport. So I think you'll be OK!

wow, how long a lunch break do you guys have? I'm lucky to have 10 minutes and can't leave the building.

I’m hoping I can squeeze during lunch hour or just after work as they close at 6 and hopefully I can try leave at 5

Mine was a 4 hour flight away but my initial monitoring was in Harley Street which was 1 hour 40 by train/tube. Didn't find it too bad tbh

Mine was about 45 min, for your stim scans they are always early in the day usually 8am-lunchtime and the early ones go first, just letting you know incase you were hoping to go after 5pm

Mine is 127 miles away. Think you'll be okay

My clinic is the priory Birmingham I work in the city and drive in so it's about 5 minutes drive. Luckily I can nip out at lunch.
Also I recently had cysts and polyps removed which my boss doesn't know much about (he's a man who gets embarrassed so lucky for me doesn't ask questions) so I've already probed him that I need more scans etc just in case I need time.
