Hi ladies!

We have recently been diagnosed with unexplained Fertility and are FINALLY (after 28 failed cycles) being referred for IVF.

Has anyone been through IVF via Aberdeen Fertility Clinic? I've been told at least 6 month waiting list - is this true?

Also I had a Hycosy done this month and have been told you are extra fertile afterwards....anyone get a BFP after one??

Sorry for all the questions. I feel I have a new lease of life finally.

After all the waiting now we have a way forward

My friend had 2 cycles of IVF there.

The first one was unsuccessful. The second cycle gave her twin boys.

She didn't speak about it much, but was a little peeved that it was at the maternity hospital. It was less than 6 months wait for her, but that was 3 or 4 years ago.

Can't help with Aberdeen but had a hycosy once - didn't help me (though I did have two babies eventually) but I was definitely told it could help "clear out" your tubes if you had a minor blockage. I would have though it to be quite rare that it helps a lot.

Wishing you lots of luck.

Thanks ladies!

@Huggybear16 the clinic is right next to the Maternity hospital - it's the side door intact which hurts like hell. Almost like they are teasing you.

Guess I'm just praying for any kind of miracle after 2.5 years of trying before we attempt round one of IVF in the summer.

Apparently the new Baird hospital will have separate entrances Hmm. We had a mixed experience there with an ever changing cast of consultants/sub specialists - until we managed to get the wonderful Dr Bhatta and senior nurses Val and Gillian. Expecting a baby boy after our third transfer (1 fresh 2 fet). We were told 12 month wait back in spring 2017, were totally surprised to be called forward for July, finally did egg collection in the October after a cock up by a sub specialist Confused. Do expect to be treated like there’s something off with you by AMH (esp midwifes - less so the consultants) once you get pregnant ... they insist on treating you as high risk regardless of the reasons/circumstances of your ivf. IVF is a marathon not a sprint, and I wish you the very best Smile
