When can I start ivf after miscarriage?

Hi ladies, I was all set to start my third round of ivf in January, however found out post nurse appointment I was pregnant. Sadly it is a blighted ovum and I have to wait till at least 8 weeks till my epu will offer me a d&c/drug to miscarry it. I just wondered if anyone has any experience of this and when they were allowed to start a fresh cycle afterwards? I’m worried this is going to push it back another few months and I just want to get on!

This happened to me too after an IVF cycle, it was my first ever positive pregnancy result. It’s so incredibly heartbreaking, I feel for you.

I can only speak for myself and the clinic I was using. It took me 15 years to get my first pregnancy and after that loss the clinic said protocol was to make me wait for another 3 periods for hormones to settle.

As the staff knew me so well, we agreed that waiting would be hugely detrimental to my mental/emotional welfare and so it was decided that for me they would break it and let me try again immediately.

You could try this argument? I don’t know what else to suggest but I am sure another poster will be along soon.

I was allowed to try with the IVF clinic after 1 period after the mc.

Why on earth is the hospital making you wait 8 weeks for a D&C?? Seems ridiculous.
