I've posted before re this friend, we both have fertility problems and we support each other, she doesn't use mumsnet whereas I find it very helpful. She has had what we think is horrible news today. She had an MRI scan recently to have a look at her fibroids. The doctor has written that fibroids have taken over most of her uterus and that he will not remove them 'with any expectation of restoring her uterus back to a normal shape'. He says there is very little uterine structure left as it is over taken by numerous fibroids of different sizes.
Understandably she is absolutely devastated but still not totally sure if this means that she can never have children? Is there anyone here with any experience or advice? She is thinking of going to her home country to see a fertility specialist. Also are there any helplines or anywhere she can seek advice as she feels so confused. Thank you
