Two-Week-Wait madness - anyone else?

I had two blasts transferred yesterday, and the craziness has begun. I have an achey lower back, which I had with my previous cycle (resulted in chemical pregnancy).

I KNOW it's too early for the embryo to have implanted. I KNOW that there's no way on earth I could be experiencing pregnancy symptoms at this stage. I KNOW that anything I do feel is probably just the progesterone pessaries.

But I can't help obsessing because . . . well, I'm obsessed! Anyone else?

I had the same issue but I had some major issues in my family which I had to attend too and it made the time go quicker!!

I had two day 5 blastos transferred on the 7/11/2018 (weds) by the Sunday I had a (faint) positive pregnancy and as the days went on the test became more darker.

Now I'm waiting to find out if it's twins :)

Maybe get stuck into something on Netflix that may help pass some time? Or go for walks :)

Good luck xxxxx

RedPandaFluff · 25/11/2018 15:28

Hi @Hermones1 - great name 😁 Congratulations on your pregnancy! When is your scan?

I'll be working as normal, so that will keep me occupied Monday to Friday, and I can't lie, I'm definitely going to test early . . . I'd rather have creeping disappointment that starts early than cataclysmic disappointment after being 'good' and waiting for two weeks.

@RedPandaFluff when is your OTD? I had a FET on 16.11.18 and my OTD is this Saturday. I'm 11dp3dt. I'm too scared to test. Feeling very nervous this week. Went back to work yesterday so that's helping to keep me occupied but my thoughts are driving me crazy 🤪

Hermones1 · 27/11/2018 07:21

@RedPandaFluff my scan is next week 6th December. I haven't told my work yet I'm wondering when is the right time?

Our company policy states you should inform them as soon as you know but I don't want to jinx anything and want to be sure!!

Let me know how you get on with your test!!!! GL GL x

RedPandaFluff · 27/11/2018 07:53

@runchunkrun I can't believe you've made it this far without testing! Mind you, I was the same on my first cycle - did exactly what they said and waited until 14dp5dt, but the disappointment was crushing. Second cycle I tested early - 5dp5dt and got a positive but that ended up in a chemical. I coped with that a lot better, though; I'm not sure why the first one was so hard.

Do you think you might be pregnant? Are you holding off testing because having some hope with uncertainty is better than knowing bad news?

@Hermones1 I think that's unusual, for a company policy to demand to know as soon as you do! Might be best to tell a trusted senior, though, just so that if you're not feeling great, allowances can be made?

I'm thinking of testing on Friday, which will be 6dp5dt . .

TinyPaws · 27/11/2018 09:42

I'm 1dp5dt (single embryo transfer). Let the crazy commence!

I am supposed to test 11dp5dt but will be testing early as, like @RedPandaFluff, I prefer creeping disappointment to crashing disappointment.

RedPandaFluff · 27/11/2018 10:05

Oooo @TinyPaws when do you think you'll test?

OP posts:
TinyPaws · 27/11/2018 12:40

@RedPandaFluff I'm testing out the trigger, not had a negative yet.

runchunkrun · 27/11/2018 14:09

@RedPandaFluff I think I am enjoying having some hope after 6 years of BFN's. I know that this is my last go at this and I'll have to accept that it's over. I feel no indication either way so anything could happen. im hoping and praying that my little ice pop is holding on tight 🙏🏼

TinyPaws · 29/11/2018 08:53

The smell of the cat food gave me a little rush of nausea this morning.

My boobs have also grown and are sore, but I think that's the trigger shot/cyclogest as the pain started before transfer.

Not going crazy here, nope, not me...

How's everyone else doing?

RedPandaFluff · 29/11/2018 09:36

Hi @TinyPaws - I have an achey lower back, which I had with my chemical pregnancy last cycle.

Or at least, I think I do. I could be imagining it . . .

How are you doing, @runchunkrun ?

MT2018 · 29/11/2018 09:55

Hello everyone,

On the crazy 2ww here too... on my 7dp2dt of 2 embies...

Did a test to see if trigger was out of the system, it is out. So now waiting for the proper test as technically the implantation window for a 2dt starts on day 6... (or so I understand).

Not sure how to survive the wait, patience isn't one of my virtues...

love and good vibes to all!

runchunkrun · 29/11/2018 10:53

Hi ladies. So symptom spotting is in full force!

My boobs are huge and really achy but I've had period cramps all week. Recon AF will show her face as soon I stop taking the meds. I'm 13dp3dt and can't believe I haven't tested yet. OTD is Saturday 😱

TinyPaws · 29/11/2018 18:44

@MT2018 You're 1 day ahead of me, I think? (I am 3dp5dt of 1 embryo)

@runchunkrun Fingers crossed for you!

I hate the bloody cyclogest, it's given me every symptom going. Trigger isn't out of my system yet, but line this morning was extremely faint so must be nearly gone.

RedPandaFluff · 29/11/2018 19:20

Ugh.

I caved.

BFN for me, at 5dp5d5 :-(

OP posts:
runchunkrun · 29/11/2018 19:40

@RedPandaFluff too early!!!!! Wait a few more days and then test again! Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏼

TinyPaws · 29/11/2018 20:06

@RedPandaFluff Agreed, probably too early.

What kind of tests is everyone using? I'm using the 1 step test strips but as I've not used them before I'm not sure how sensitive they are so not sure when I could expect to get a positive if I turn out to be pregnant. I can't switch to FRERs now though as I haven't tested out the trigger with them and they're super sensitive so would probably still pick it up.

After 3 IUIs and a very drawn out miscarriage I'm so over spending £££ on pregnancy tests!

RedPandaFluff · 29/11/2018 20:12

I have a sick feeling in my stomach now. I think it hasn't worked 😔

I use FRERs, @TinyPaws, as I need donor eggs so don't get a trigger shot. I've also used the One-Step tests from Amazon but they were pretty rubbish. I always save a Clearblue Digital for OTD . . . I need the stark message either way!

OP posts:
TinyPaws · 29/11/2018 21:18

@RedPandaFluff Still holding out a little hope for you. It’s so heartbreaking to think that all this may have been to no avail.

RedPandaFluff · 30/11/2018 07:51

Morning everyone - tested with a FRER this morning; it's whiter than white. I'm out, I know I am.

I'm so sad 😣

OP posts:
runchunkrun · 30/11/2018 08:49

@RedPandaFluff it's still early days lovely. Wait until 9dpt then test again x

TinyPaws · 30/11/2018 10:42

Aw I'm sorry @RedPandaFluff. I have heard plenty of stories of people who were BFN 6dp5dt then BFP 9 or more dp5dt.

I'm getting frustrated, trying to test out the trigger but just getting a run of extremely faint positives that don't seem to be fading or getting stronger. Does anyone know if the one step tests are known to do this?

RedPandaFluff · 30/11/2018 10:46

Oh @TinyPaws the One-Step ones from Amazon? They can be rubbish - look at the reviews on Amazon.

OP posts:
TinyPaws · 30/11/2018 11:10

@RedPandaFluff I got them from eBay but they look the same. TBH all pregnancy tests have rubbish reviews on Amazon (3.6 average rating for one step compared to 4.0 for FRER which are the best available in my opinion). I actually have a couple of FRER but know I retain the trigger for a long time so aiming not to crack these open until at least 7-8dp5dt. I was just hoping to see some progression either way by now but they all look pretty much the same to me (the one taken the morning of the transfer is possibly just a smidge darker than the others but it's hard to be sure!

TinyPaws · 30/11/2018 11:11

Oh god I've got the 2WW crazies haven't I?!
