Gonal F and IUI

Has anyone used Gonal F for IUI and if so what was the amount? I don't have pcos and am doing iui rather than ivf. I've read so much about ohss that I am starting to panic. I'm on 100 units for 5 days only.

What did your clinic say?! They should be determining your dose!!!!!!!

@physics they have determined the dose. I was just wondering was the dose I have a large dose or a small dose?

It doesn't matter, they should be checking you a couple of times to see how the follicles are growing. I have had a cycle cancelled because of the chance for ohss, which meant that I stopped using the hormones, waited for AF and tried again next cycle. I did have ohss with my ivf. They declined to put an embryo back and freezed the lot to not make it worse. As long as they're checking you, you should be ok.

I've used gonal f for years. I started at 75 and ended with 225,5. I do have pcos though.

@exploding. Thanks. It's only day 3 of 5. I'm on 100iu and I have a scan on Sunday to see what's happening. I suspect I will be taken off it then as this Is what happened when I took Femara. A friend at work is with same doc, doing same thing but she is a week ahead of me. She too was on it for 5 days.

Hi presh I hope you don't mind me asking but how have things gone with you? I had my first IUI today and feel so nervous. We have unexplained infertility so I did the IUI with clomid. I had 2/3 follicles and they also seemed to be really happy with my husband's sperm post wash. I have no idea how I am going to cope these next 2 weeks.

I wad on 75iu. It's no where near enough to cause ohss. They usually won't let you cycle if there's more than 3 lead follicles.
