Natural pregnancy after ivf?

Hi all
Apologies if there is been a thread like this before. I was incredibly fortunate to conceive after one round of ivf, I now have a beautiful 1 year old girl. Just wondering if anyone on here had a natural pregnancy after ivf? Especially anyone whose infertility was due to endometriosis. Thank you.

My cousin was 'unexplained'. Her first was ivf and her second came along 17 months later! And she went on to have a third at 43... she'd started ttc at 34.

I have stage 4 endo and I'm newly pregnant (7 weeks) after having DS in January through IVF. Huge surprise

Thankyou, he was actually from cycle 5 and from donor eggs so never in a million years expected it to happen naturally. Really hope it happens for you

We went through a round of IVF due to very low sperm count. Told we’d be extremely unlikely to conceive naturally. The IVF was unsuccessful and we were stressed out wondering how we’d afford another cycle. Then I found I was pregnant naturally and I had DD1. I didn’t bother taking contraception after as I had considered it a complete fluke that I’d fallen pregnant. 15 months later I found out I was expecting DD2, again naturally. Shows that the doctors don’t always get it right.

I have a friend with unexplained fertility.
She tried for 6 years naturally with no luck.
She had ivf and conceived her first baby.
She then didn’t use contraception and fell pregnant twice within 2 years naturally so now has 3 little ones all under 4!

Yes- I’m one tube down with the remaining tube blocked, or so I was told, and no choice but to have ivf. I never thought it could or would happen naturally. I guess for me either the doctors weren’t quite right, or something happened to unblock the tube.

Yep. DD1 took four years to conceive, including numerous tests, laparoscopy (which diagnosed stage IV endorsed, removed lots of it and one fallopian tube), and IVF. IVF worked on first cycle, which shocked us.

When DD1 was 10 months my periods returned, and at a year old I stopped breastfeeding to give my body six months off before trying IVF for a second baby. However I conceived naturally on the third cycle after giving birth, and ended up having DD2 three months after we'd planned to start IVF again. We were utterly shocked to conceive naturally (and accidentally), and a 21-month age gap was so much closer than we had imagined would be possible, and really having an only child was so much more than we had thought was possible for a long time.

My girls are now 4 and 2.5, and I'm grateful for them every day.

@CantWaitToRetire
Hiya just wanted to ask how long were you ttc before you had ivf, it’s just we are dealing with severe mfi and will need ivf and been trying for years, if you don’t mind me asking it’s just stories like yours even though I know are rare with our issues they give me hope for a natural bfp as we will have one round ivf on nhs then I know if it doesn’t work we will stress how to go pay to go private xx
