Hi All,

I have written on threads before, quick background;

TTC#1 43 trying for 3 year, no NHS funding and clinics in my city no help so had to go down private route. I found a clinic I was happy with and contacted them (Reprofit in Brno) did my CD3 blood tests and although within normal ranges for my age the Dr at the clinic said I had zero chances with my own eggs, I kinda begged to give it one shot with mine and they have prescribed me a stimulation protocol. I am both excited and scared and fully aware that its a grasp of desperation to just start and at least try with my eggs.

My worry is they have reluctantly prescribed me this protocol, I am sure they will do whatever they can but I just have a worry about it, is this a short protocol, I only have two items, a tablet to be taken for 7 days and 5 days of injections and the ultrasounds of course ...

Sorry if I'm not making sense, I am scared, apprehensive, excited and scared some more! is this it finally starting!?

They're going ahead for you? I'm pleased that you've got what you wanted.

Have they given you the full protocol? When I started I was given 5 days of injections then a scan, then I spoke to them and THEN I was given the details of the next three days before the next scan.

Does your prescription match up with your protocol. So if for example you've got 5 days of 125ml of GonalF then they'll have prescribed maybe a 500ml and a 200ml pen. If there's more than that you can expect further meds to come.

You can always email your coordinator for help. Mine must have got quite fed up with me.

Hi Si1ver!

Yes they emailed through the protocol, I'm not sure if its the full protocol, I think it is as Ive to take tablets for 5 days and injections for 6 looking at it clearer and all they've said is its 75Ul menopur and Clostilbegyt tablets and thats it and ultrasounds and then egg retrieval out in Brno.

No mg for the Clostilbegyt I will email and ask for that but I am confused!

Ok, ask them for a prescription. That'll help things become clearer, and also ask them for a timeline from CD1. I suspect they've given you part of your protocol because there's no trigger in that mix. But I'm not an expert.

I also had a short protocol but had GonalF for five days then a scan on day 7 then more GonalF, then more scans, then more GonalF and cetrotide together then another scan and then triggered with ovitrelle.

Keep asking questions until you're happy with what's happening.

Remember that their statistics are very important, it's how most people pick their clinics. If they've agreed to treat you then you're going to do the absolute best for you.

Letsdothis43 my clinic in Greece gave me a protocol of 4 days, one injection daily and that was all, but my prescription was for a lot more. They give u the protocol that you need to get started, when you have your second scan around day 5, they know how you are responding and will amend the protocol accordingly.

@AniSL ah ok, its just that between CD3 to when EC would be CD 12 ish and I was worried that getting medications that were not on the list to me in time (delivery 3-4 days!) would be difficult, but @si1ver has helped immensely and I contacted the clinic and asked them to give me day by day breakdown of what could happen and they sent me all I needed to know and all medications were on my prescription (I think!)

It's such a confusing process, if it wasn't for this forum I would be at a complete loss with so many things!
