Secondary infertility due to c-section scarring?

Has anyone got any experience with this?
DH and I have been TTC#2 for almost 2 years with no luck. I ovulate regularly, his SA came back normal twice.
Could the reason be due to scarring from my emergency c-section with DD?
NHS won't help or do any tests so private treatment is my only option.
Anyone with any experience or advice?

If it’s scarring related then wouldn’t you expect more miscarriages not necessarily a failure to conceive?

Secondary infertility is actually quite common and can be due to things such as being older than you were when trying first time around, or other factors - it could be something quite simple so worth getting it investigated. I have a friend who really struggled to get pregnant second time around and it turned out her thyroid had gone under active (can happen after birth) once that was sorted she conceived straight away.

I'm just trying to figure out the possible cause, if anything, to try and make testing/treatment as cheap as possible.
I can't wait any longer, I need this investigated, if only to put the matter to bed - TTC is taking over my life!

Yes. I suffered secondary infertility due to scar tissue - my fallopian tubes were both blocked - although it's impossible to pinpoint what caused the scarring. I had a difficult birth and emergency C Section, but it could have been causes by an infection too.
However, I got this diagnosed via testing through the NHS. I am surprised you haven't been offered any further investigations. The test is called a hysterosalpingogram, where they squirt a dye up your tubes and see if it comes out at your ovaries, to test for patency of the tubes.
Sorry you are going through this. I don't think people realise how difficult it is emotionally. Hope you get some answers.

I am in Scotland, by the way (wondering if there is a post code lottery re getting things checked). Also, it was over 10 years ago I went through the tests.

@Wellthatsit I've seen 2 different GPs and they both had the attitude of 'there is nothing wrong with you as you've had a child before'.
I understand that funding is limited, and it should absolutely go to a couple with no children ahead of me, but it's still frustrating. It's a postcode lottery and unfortunately I live in a CCG where they will absolutely not refer me for any more tests.

That's very frustrating for you. If you can afford to go private to have the test, I would recommend it. Not knowing is horrible. Once I knew the cause of my secondary infertility I could then decide how to move forward. My doctor said IVF would be the only option for getting pregnant, but in the end I decided not to. It was a tough decision, but at least I was empowered to chose. And it gave me the chance to come to terms with having one child only, and focus on the positives of that, and how lucky we were to have a child, rather than being in a constant cycle of hope/disappointment/hope/disappointment.
