Ovary pain - Menopur

Started stimms on short protocol on Saturday with Menopur. Starting Cetrotode tonight. EC expected next week at some point.

My ovaries are in bloody agony. The right one particularly.

Kind of like a sharp cold pain.

Is this normal? Am I going to have to hobble about like this for a week? What pain relief am I allowed to take?

On the positive I'm hoping this means the meds are getting my follicles pumping!

No it’s not normal. Menopur can overstimulate ovaries which is why women with pcos need to be monitored on it. Call the medical emergency number on your clinic.

It's probably a sign lots of follicles are growing - I was very uncomfortable and had 29 follicles first cycle and 32 second cycle. By the time of egg collection I wasn't even lifting my feet up when walking as putting them on the floor afterwards caused too much pain so I was kind of sliding my feet along the ground. Don't even get me started on bumps in the road whilst driving!!

Regardless do give your clinic a call but fingers crossed a positive sign xx

Thanks for your replies!

The pain thankfully calmed down a bit so I haven't called the clinic.

Still have this weird cool feeling across my middle and thighs though.

Started down regging last night which has made me feel a bit spacey and tired.

First scan tomorrow so I'm hoping something's happening!
