How much time off work for IUI?

Hi all,
I’m starting IUI soon-And was wondering how much time off work does it require per cycle? I understand this might change patient to patient but just wanted a general sense of it. I’m a teacher so during term time it is not easy to take too much time off.

People that have been through it -was it stressful?

Thanks!

Hi mouse,
Im afraid I cant answer your question but just saying hello and am following this thread. I too am a teacher and am starting IUI. My work know nothing about what's going on and don't ask when I hand in absence request forms for 'hospital appts.' However I am wondering when they will get fed up.I get the impression we don't need much time off for the actual process...I had part of a day off for funding, another part of the day to meet the consultant and another part day to meet the nurse and go throuh what I have to do. When you get a positive opk you will need to go to the clinic the following day for the procedure. I will phone in sick that day...it's obviously not ideal but I can't think of an alternative.

Wishing you lots of luck!
