Fertility doctor and meds help x

I had my 21 day blood tests and it showed I don’t ovulate so I got sent to the fertility doctor since I had the blood tests at my doctors I have not had my period I am on 55 days since my last this has never happened I no I have more blood tests and the exam of my tubes at the fertility hospital but what else will happen since I don’t ovulate, will I get any fertility meds like clomid? Also how long do you get prescribed the meds for? My fertility doctor isn’t the best at answering my questions.

Is this a one off? Do you have regular cycles normally?

And we're your day 21 bloods in this same cycle?

They were done after my last period I havint had one since and it’s a one off my cycle had always been 29days but then I started taking soy and it had flung my period off by a few extra days then again so I have stopped taking them and still havint had a period

Soy is meant to only be taken on certain cycle days - definitely not throughout.

Of course it was negative for ov - your af hasn't arrived a week later!! You generally get your period about two weeks after ovulation.

Sounds like an anovulatory cycle to me. These are totally normal and common once or twice a year. Not much you can do about them either. Most people not ttc don't noice them because they're on birth control and don't have a natural cycle.

All you can do is wait, I'm afraid.

Oh and it doesn't mean you don't ov every cycle, but definitely not during this one.

It’s had me so worried my doctor just said ahh you don’t ovulate and referee me to the fertility doctor I took soy from cycle day 2-6 I think I’m just really sensitive to tablets I missed my ovulation when I was taking folic acid also I ngot really get a positive opk but I no they don’t prove you ovulated so I have got ovusense now fingers crossed this shows I do,

So how long will it be before I get my period if I missed it this month do you think? It’s horrible I always use to say I hate getting my period but now I don’t have it I really want it lol x

It's impossible to say when your period will arrive.

There are things that can be done if you don’t ovulate. I don’t ovulate at all due to a combination of PCOS and probable hypothalamic dysfunction due to lithium, I was given ovulation induction with letrozole but they can also use clomid or one other medicine I forget the name of. Letrozole obviously worked for me as I’m 8+5/40 after one cycle (we have no male factors and must have gotten quite lucky!)
