Today is transfer day and I’m on my own

Just a whinge really.

After our first fresh round failed earlier this year it’s transfer day for one of our two Frosties. It’s been a rough pre cycle and DH has been away on business for most of it.

He’s just called to tell me he’s missed his connection and won’t be here for it.

We always knew this was a possibility (it was a tight connection) but I’m so sad.

I hope it all goes well and you get what you want. Your husband being there or not will not affect the outcome. Let him look after you when you get home and very best of luck for today. I am sorry it failed earlier in the year Here's hoping for success and hope someone who knows more about IVF comes along soon xx

Oh no, it’s a rubbish situation to be in and even more rubbish not to have a handhold.
Will he be home later? How are you getting to and from the centre? I hope it goes as smoothly as possible today .

He’ll hopefully get home tonight and at that point will have been travelling over 24 hours. Normally I would make sure to have dinner ready for him and a couple of beers in the fridge but he might have to make do with a takeaway tonight.

I’ll be driving myself there and back. The nurse has ok’d it. Luckily it’s not too far and worst case I’ll leave the car, pay the 24 hour parking fee and beg a friend for a lift home.

That's such a shame and I'd be disappointed too, but as someone said before it won't affect the outcome.

Don't drive if you don't feel up to it and certainly don't do any running round getting things nice for him to come home to later. Put your feet up, relax and enjoy resting together over the coming day or two.

Enjoy it and let yourself off the hook in terms of being on top of things and organised. Washing, luggage, tidying etc can wait a while.

He's managed to get a standby flight so it could be worse. At least he will get home without having to do miultiple trains.
