Progestrone blood test??

Hi guys,

I am under the hospital due to secondary infertility. I am currently on my first cycle of clomid and been having no end of internal scans to check when I ovulate etc. I got a positive opk on 2nd September and had to go for a blood test on Monday 10th roughly 1 week after ovulation . I've just had my results saying my progestrone levels were 35.2. What does this mean? Could I be pregnant?

Any help would be gratefully received.

Many thanks

It's a test to see whether or not you ovulated, and that level indicates that you did. It doesn't test for pregnancy so your result won't answer that question one way or the other.

I just wasn't sure weather or not the level had to be over a certain amount to give an indication as to weather pregnancy has been reached.

As previously posted the test is to determine if ovulation occurred and it needs to be over 15 to indicate this in the UK. Most women have a reading between 30-35 7 days following ovulation. Your test has confirmed that you ovulated this month, You may of course be pregnant, the HGC will rise enough in a few days to be detected in your urine and you'll know.

It hard waiting, I get that!

It is so hard waiting when its what uve been wanting to happen for nearly 2 years. I feel like we are getting so close to actually getting our dream of having another child and my partners first.

Fingers crossed for a bfp one day soon.
