I am currently waiting to start treatment with St Mary's for IVF on the NHS. I've had a bit of a nightmare getting my referral sorted out. They have made so many errors in paperwork and when I've been trying to sort it I've found the admin departments at St Mary's a nightmare to deal with - I was just getting constant brick walls when trying to get information or get anything done. They kept saying it had been sorted and then hadn't done what they said they were going to do, and it's so hard ot get to speak to an actual human and not an answering machine. It's been so stressful at an already stressful time and it's really put me off St Mary's.
I'm now worried about having similar problems with the actual treatment. I've heard there can be long waits to get appointments and we've waited so long already. I'm wondering whether I should be trying to switch to another provider or something.
My questions are:
Has anybody had recent IVF at St Marys and how have they found the experience? How long have things taken? Have you had trouble getting seen, have yo had appointments cancelled etc? And have you been happy with them generally?
