Hi all, I had a laproscopy last Friday to remove endo on my ovary and they also found some in other places which they removed, I have 4 incision holes. Still bleeding and getting cramps on and off and incisions feeling tender. Just wondering anyone who has been through it can advise how long until their incisions started to heal and the cramps etc went away and you started to get back to normal? I sleep on my front and it’s such a pain having to lie on my back to sleep while the cuts heal.

Thanks all-hoping this is now what’s going to make the difference and get me pregnant!

Hey honey...
Just so you know I'm going through the same... had a lap last Friday to remove a uterine septum and still getting nasty cramps... I was advised two weeks to start feeling less achy but those cuts can take up to three weeks to heal. I'm such a wuss I can't even look at mine without wanting to pass out!
Hope you get better... ps I actually can't cope not sleeping on my belly either Shock

I had an ovarian cyst removed by laparoscopy in the spring. I felt ok after two weeks but far better after three. I’d have def needed three weeks off work if I’d have been in work at the time. I can’t recall how long I felt tender for but it was over a week before I was up to driving and two weeks before I could walk dd to school (ten mins each way).

Get plenty of rest and look after yourself Flowers

From memory my first lap I was back to work after 3 days but that was just a look around and cyst drainage and 1 night in hospital, second lap I was in theatre 5 hours for extensive excision of endo, tube removal and ovary resection etc and was kept in 3 days that time as I had a catheter in as had a lot done on my bladder and bowel, I had a week at home that time then went back to work

I had 2 laparoscopys when ttc i did have Fallopian tubes removed if that makes a difference, but I felt awful for couple of days after, the gas in the shoulder pain was the worst, I think I was walking like a cripple for a couple of days I remember that I didn't dare stand straight! it was a week before I felt normal. I wouldn't say I was in pain for a week just uncomfortable.

Pays off in the end ladies all the poking and prodding! I'm typing this with my 4 year old sat next to me Smile (ivf in the end but was a success!) x

I had an emergency laparoscopy due to an ectopic pregnancy. I felt like utter, utter hell for a week. Still very unwell for a further week after that. Between the 2-3 week I basically felt back to normal.

Do look after yourself, and wishing you lots of luck.
