What are the symptoms of PCOS?
I hade blood tests done last month and the doctor said I don’t ovulate and he referred me to a fertility clinic would he of been able to tell by the blood test results? He said he was checking for everything

Also 4 year ago I had blood tests in the fertility hospital and they said I had low progesterone and I had the test where they see if your tubes are blocked I got the all clear there. Surely someone would tell me if I had this?

My periods have started to become irregular

Common symptoms of PCOS include:

irregular periods or no periods at all.

difficulty getting pregnant (because of irregularovulation or failure to ovulate)

excessive hair growth (hirsutism) – usually on the face, chest, back or buttocks.

weight gain.

thinning hair and hair loss from the head.

oily skin or acne.

However, I have none of the above, I am overweight but that was due to an abusive relationships and some serious binge eating. I have been diagnosed as having pcos because I have multiple small follicles in my ovaries.

Depends what blood tests were done. There is one lot taken between day 2-5 of your cycle and a second test taken seven days before af is due.

Hi there, I've got PCOS and I was diagnosed by blood tests and tests at Endocrinology at the hospital. I had there a full medical history, like height, weight, looking at my body, and family history of illnesses etc. I also had a trans vaginal ultrasound which was a horrible experience.
I also was tested for other things it might be like cushings syndrome.
If you think you have PCOS then its more than just blood tests for a diagnosis.

I had all the tests and history exam done, no one said pcos as all tests and health history was completely fine, it was when I had a tv us they decided I did based on the follicular pattern. I have regular AF and regular ovulation too
